How To Join?
Our team functions as a year-round team, so you can technically join throughout the year. The ideal time to join is at the beginning of the fall semester. We hold a fall information session, where you can learn all about the team! This is a great way to learn about membership, team environment, fundraising and community service events, meet policies and more!
Besides the info session, you can come to practice and join the team any day during the week.
The best way to get updates and be aware of Club Swim events is to join our email list. Check out the "join" tab for more information!

Are There Tryouts? And, How Competitive is the Team?
We do not hold tryouts for the team, so we have a wide range of skill sets on our team. We have some recreational swimmers and some ex-varsity swimmers. Our team does require a basic skill level of knowing how to swim. If you're trying to learn how to swim, look into the Kinesiology Swimming course offered by the university or UREC swim lessons.
Where and How Often Are Practices?
All practices are held in the University Recreation (UREC) Pool. We offer practices Monday through Friday starting at 4 p.m. Practices are not mandatory however, it is a great way to meet members and earn points throughout the year!
How Many Meets Per Semester?
We attend multiple meets through out the season. We usually attend 3 meets each semester, with one travel prelims/finals and one home meet offered in both the fall and spring. In the fall, we hold an intrasquad meet and attend the College Club Swimming Eastern Regional Championship. In the spring, we host our annual Battle for the Crown invitational and swimmers with qualifying times can attend the College Club Swimming National Championship.
How Does the Point System Work?
We function off a point system to make sure the most active members get the most benefits. We give points for every practice, community service event, fundraiser, and other club sports' events that members attend. This is most often used when attending a meet with a cap on how many swimmers we can bring.
